You are growing up in a culture where slavery is talked about. More & more people are becoming educated on social justice issues such as sex trafficking. This is wonderful. However, we seem to be proclaiming freedom for the captives with our mouths, but with our actions we are proclaiming enslavement. Because most likely, you were first introduced to pornography when you were just 11 years old. But you're not the only one. The average boy your age watches 50 pornography videos a week, & 50% of the men sitting in churches on Sunday morning are watching them, too. So, little boys, my question to you is this: how can we deliver women from sexual slavery while you -- our future men & leaders -- have strong sexual additions? Because pornography is so closely linked to sex trafficking... But no one seems to talk about that.
& little boys, immersed so deep in your sin that you have grown numb, remember that the woman on the screen is someone's daughter. She's someone's sister. She's someone's friend. She was created with care in the Creator's image; created for His glory. & when you view her as a mere object, as nothing more than damaged goods, you grieve the heart of the Father.
So, little boys, I plead with you: realize the weight of your sin, give it all to Jesus, & let Him do the rest. I know it will be hard; addictions do not break easily. But Jesus is in the business of making beautiful things out of us -- His rebellious, sinful people. & by His grace we can be adopted & transformed; spotless before the throne.
I'm praying for you, sweet little boy.
Love, your sister in Christ.
