“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." - Matthew 5:6

Many times we associate hunger with the absence of God's presence in our lives... Thinking that wanting Him and needing more of Him is a sign of Him not being there to fulfill. To be honest, I thought that. But as I'm growing, I'm learning. And lately I've been learning this: spiritual hunger is not a sign of His absence but rather a sign of His presence. Jesus said that those who hunger are blessed, for those are the people that truly know Him. Those are the people that have tasted and seen that the Lord is good.

"Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow into salvation -- if you have indeed tasted that the Lord is good." - 1 Peter 2:2-3

Only the hungry get Jesus. I want to get Jesus...

"Hungry I come to You for I know you satisfy." - Kutless

ilovethis. God is doing a great work in the hearts of those who are near to Him and all I find myself wanting is MORE of Him.

It is good to be Hungry but we should not be thirsty... Hunger for more of Him knowing that we have had our thirst saturated...

love this
