Yesterday at church I met one of the most beautiful women, ever.
She was sitting right behind me, and throughout the service I heard her "uhu"ing and "amen"ing. It was so sweet. She had a full head of white hair, styled with strong hairspray. She had to be at least seventy years old. All I know is that she was beautiful. She had such a heart for the Lord. It was amazing. I've read in books [Captivating.] and heard it said [Beauty Overflowing.] that beauty doesn't fade, but instead grow. Never has that been more real to me than when I saw this lady.
I don't know her name. I don't even know if I will ever see her again, but I hope so.
As she was sitting there, eyes closed and hands raised, I couldn't help but smile and feel oh so grateful for everything.
Bottom line: Jesus is super cool. And He works through wrinkly old ladies. [How awesome is that!?!]
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, beauty should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit." - 1 Peter 3:3-4
